Hugo Larsen was a young Danish artist that visited the Danish West Indies now known as the US Virgin Islands ~ 1905.
This pretty painting with its muted greens and browns is one of his beautiful creations.
It's on a path high above the town of Charlotte Amalie.
Those who viewed his paintings back then were amazed at the "true to life" images which he transferred onto canvas.
Sharing Larsen's art helps keep the island's history alive.
