🌸 TERRITORIAL FLOWER 🌸
OF THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
The White Cedar flower is the territorial flower of the BVI.
It's often called the Pink Trumpet Tree because of the characteristic shape of the flowers, however, its official name is Tabebuia heterophilia.
According to the Government's website:
"The White Cedar is indigenous to the Virgin Islands and was integral in the development of the Virgin Islands sloop and in turn, the economy.
When in bloom, it displays its trumpet-shaped flowers.
White cedars are often pink, although they may often appear white, cream or light purplish-grey, appearing in clusters throughout the spring and summer."
Help keep the BVI's vibrant history alive!
