The Reef Bay petroglyphs are a group of Taino petroglyph carvings found in the Virgin Islands' National Park on St. John.
Their origins are surrounded in mystery.
Some believe these carvings of faces and other designs, strategically placed just above a reflection pool, were a way for the early pre-columbian inhabitants to make contact with their spiritual ancestors to help them in their earthly world.
No one knows for sure, but the site has attracted visitors from all over the world with many speculating about its history.
